So big fan of the show. I’ve seen it on Instagram. I’ve been learning the tips and like, I’m, I’m going further and further in the content. And maybe tell us a little bit about the show and how you got started. So our show is on Instagram on the page. It starts with you and the last name is YOO. And so we are based on a Alcoholics Anonymous program.
It’s kind of similar to that. Organization. And the reason why I say that is because a lot of times like people want to go through a healing process, but they are not sure where or how to find a source or an outlet to kind of like have a support system with them and things like that. I’ve been watching the show for a long time.
Tell me a little bit more about it. And really just tell me some of the episodes you’ve recorded so far. Like I know you’re a couple episodes in like who have you had on the show? So. For our last episode, we had a real estate developer named Reese and I think that bringing in guests like that have really impacted our demographic of who is watching.
And also I think that it allows like people to kind of like see different perspectives from both like the male and female perspective. And especially because like. It’s someone who has like a, some amount of like, Power. I’m speaking on that topic. Like, I think it’s important to have, like, those kind of guests come in to speak on that.
What’s been one of your favorite parts about putting a show together and just being a show host? Just in general, like, what do you like about being behind the microphone? I think it allows me to have a voice. And I think that especially like if I have gone through Some experiences in the past, like personal experiences, I can kind of guide that to what I’m talking about or what I’m, like, bringing to the organization instead of, like letting those experiences Be like not part of that.
Yeah. Yeah, I get it. Yeah. I feel like your show like when I watch it It’s a very personal show like people are sharing a lot of real Topics, it’s deep. There’s a lot of different like ideas going around Like, how do you come up with that idea originally? Like when you first thought about it, it starts with you.
Like, it’s not an easy show to produce. It’s highly entertaining, by the way, for everybody watching, definitely go check it out. Like, and we’ll leave the show in the show notes. We’ll put the links and all that good stuff so you can follow and do that, but highly entertaining, but not necessarily the easiest content.
What made you go down that road as a creator to wanna like put that out in the world? I think that I was scrolling through like Instagram one day and I. Was thinking I couldn’t really see a lot of things that had a lot of like depth in it and so you saw all my content
Okay, I’m a part of it Thank you, okay continue Speaking of death to go ahead Yeah, I mean I was just thinking like If people are like speaking about like things that are they think are important and I mean people are not speaking about what they think is important, but they are showing off like things that they think are important because Instagram says it’s important.
Yeah. Then, like, people can get kind of, like, sad because, like, that’s not how they really feel. Like, they’re kind of stuck in an algorithm, in a way. So I think, like, we’re just trying to Bring a lot of things that people don’t really want to say, like out on the table and allow people to kind of see, like, is this the problem?
You know, like, or, you know. Allow people to like, just kind of like communicate mm-hmm . Through these questions. Because like, I actually post a lot of questions on the single, like the one-on-one chat stuff. Yeah. Like on the, like, I, I can’t say it’s a one-on-one chat. It’s like a , it’s like a one-on-one, the chat.
It’s good. Uhhuh one-on-one Instagram. Mm-hmm . Reel stuff like, because I. I do ask myself a lot of these questions and I think that these are questions that a lot of people don’t really ask themselves before going into relationships. Yeah. And at the same time, like, I do think they are important. Mm hmm.
So, yeah. So, how many episodes are you in? I don’t know if I know the answer to that question. Two, three, four, five, what, how many episodes? We’re actually only on our, like, Second or third episode. Okay, so this is a fun part. And this is why I’m asking you this question. Because, so you’re, it’s a new show.
You’re just getting started. I’ve had many people when they’re just starting the show, where a lot of entrepreneurs, a lot of show hosts watch this show. Dream big for a moment. Vision. Like, let’s get a little scary here. What’s your vision for the show long term? What would you hope? Like, throw out some dreams.
Because I want you to be able to look at this in the future and be like, Oh, I remember that. I was only, it’s a very rare opportunity to where you’re, you have a recording of when you were only a couple episodes in. I wish I had one. I don’t. Dream big. What’s your goal for the show? I can see myself have my own show on this or like, you know, cause I already have someone.
that has a YouTube channel with 6 million viewers. So it’s when we’re on only on our like second or third episode. So it’s going to be big. So that’s the goal is to make a big show, big audience. Yeah, it’s awesome. Love it. Talk a little bit about just your thought process about how you plan you’re in.
This is for the creators. There’s other people out there where you’re, you know, you’re multiple episodes and they’re thinking about launching the show and they haven’t quite. Maybe they’re held back. By fear, maybe it’s by whatever it is. I don’t know. I’m not going to define that, but like talk about your creative process and how you finally got to that point of launching.
I think a lot of the creative process actually came from like journaling just personal experiences. And cause I, I like to write a lot of stuff down and that’s how I actually like, just. heal myself. Like I read what has happened and then I’m like, is that how things really happen? You know, like, and so that’s how I do things.
But I think allowing myself to write things down like that has helped in this process because then I’m able to go back and look at that and also ask questions that are more in depth. Mm. Yeah. So thinking about the audience and who you’re looking to attract, and obviously the goal is many people to watch, of course, that’s a given, but who do you want to like help in your, in the content you’re creating?
Who do you think is a good fit to be like, yeah, this type of person, you know, should be listening to this. And this is why, like, who are you looking to attract? Besides everybody, of course, besides everybody, like, who do you think, like, and this is, I know that you think about this when you’re creating the content, when you’re creating and your process.
So I think like our main audience would be like someone or like people who. are looking for like a partner. But they don’t know where to start, you know, like they want to narrow down, like how to make that possible. Because a lot of times, like what I’ve seen is like some of my friends like go to clubs or like they go to like, you know, drinking fests or like, you know, like places where like, you know, for sure you will not find your Partner
Okay. You know, like, and so like, it’s, it’s just kind of like for anybody that did find their partner that way, it’s okay. Don’t worry. No
We’re not judging. Go for it. Continue Not judging, but I, I mean, I look like a judging face. No. Go. No, I’m, I’m not. I know you’re not. I know you’re not. Go ahead. But yeah, it’s, it’s just. Like, my point is like, it’s hard to have like a conversation with someone that’s like not sober, you know? And it’s hard to get to know somebody like that.
Yeah. And so, I think, like, yeah, we’re just trying to, like, help people narrow down, like, what exactly do you want, you know, like, out of the relationship, what exactly, like, do you, like, expect, you know, like, etc. What’s one of your favorite parts of your show so far? Like, just one of those moments where you’re just like, oh my gosh, this is good, I hit the, and I have one, by the way, so I’m gonna volunteer one, don’t worry, but what’s been one of your favorite parts about recording so far?
Like, oh, could it be a moment during the show, something that, you know, I think it’s just kind of like hearing other people’s perspectives and hearing their input has been. Give us a specific one, though. And the reason I do this and I’m asking is because I want my audience to get a feel for your content and what’s coming out because the conversation sometimes is hilarious.
Like, give us something specific. What comes to mind? And you can say their name, it’s fine, it’s all public, if he’s a funny one. I’ll tell you one of my funny ones, I’ll start with mine. Alright, so just in case you were going to say that one, I don’t, I do not remember his name, but when he was talking about the three buckets of girls, and he was like, one girl’s the bottle girl, one girl’s the like, maybe you could date, and then one’s the girl you marry.
I was dying laughing when he was, he was talking about that, and then I was reflecting on my own life, and I was thinking to myself, Am I the bottle girl? Like, I don’t even know. It was just funny. I was thinking about like all the different, you know, you reflect when you’re listening to something. And obviously, so for me being a man, I was kind of thinking about how does a girl look at me?
Like what is one of those? It’s three. Do you understand? So I was like, it was, I was just cracking up at it because obviously I’m going to put myself in the shoes of the answer. So and obviously I did the other way too, but that was hilarious for anybody like go on Instagram, watch this and again, we’ll have links and stuff, but it was, I was dying laughing at this and then you two were yourself in the other, the other, I forget the woman’s name right at this moment.
What was her name? Angela. Angela. Yeah. Angela was cracking up too. And I’m like, Oh my gosh, here they go. What was a funny moment or a moment you want to introduce? Like that happened where you’re just like, Oh my gosh. I mean, that was actually unexpected, you know, like, yeah, he did give us three examples of women from a man’s perspective and I don’t know.
Like what’s a good one from you. You got to have one for me. Yeah. What was a funny one that you had or something? That was my example. I love it. Come on. What was your example? Give me a good one. I think we had like more talks like afterwards, after the recording, which was like more funnier. Yeah. But like, cause you know how like you can’t talk about like politics or like race?
Oh, you know what? I’m glad you said this because it’ll be interesting to see how your show evolves. Yeah, so possibly in time, maybe you’re going to add those. And I’m not saying by the way, I’m not, it’s your show, like you create how you want, but I always, I’ll tell you, I’ll give you one. This is a tip for everybody watching at home too.
Just so you know, if you’re a show host, like what you want to do for me, not. Is that I, a lot of times, will not have too many conversations prior to, and I intentionally tell them no, stop talking, stop, wait till we’re recording. And I do that because I learned pretty early on in my career as a host that, Like some of the best content wasn’t when we actually hit record.
And so, because then people change their personality, they change their like thing and a lot of the good content. And then you kind of, as a host, you already know the answers. You already know their feeling. You already know what they’re thinking. So for me as a host, what I do is the warm up period, like even with friends, like if a friend’s coming on the show or something else, I’d be like, Nope, stop talking.
Nothing. Nope. We’ll talk when we start recording. And then I go from a cold start. And then I start because then whatever they had bottled up inside to say like it’s already it comes out and then that’s the beauty like I don’t want the magic to happen when we’re not recording. So that’s my little two cents on that one.
It’s interesting, but because I’m not an actor. So if I know the answer to the question or your belief on the subject. I can’t be like, Oh, Anna. Oh, tell me more. See? Look what a great actor I am, right? It’s not going to work. So I have to be real time. I have to be on it, because if I already know the answers, we’re done.
It’s going to be so cheesy.
Any last words to the audience on your show, your vision, anything else you want to document as we’re like, you know, two episodes in, you’re going to look at this in 10 years.
