This week’s episode is so profound and special, so much so that I thought it needed to be divided into a two-part series. This would not have been possible without the presence of my guest –  who was exceptionally candid, open, generous, and wise during our conversation.

As he shares the intricate story of his life journey – the trials of his childhood, the turbulence of his youth, marked by decisions he wasn’t necessarily proud of, and ultimately, the self-discovery that paved the way for embracing new connections and transformative experiences – it is my sincere hope that in the course of his narrative, you will resonate with the shared human experience, and feel seen and heard, much like I did.  While our individual experiences may differ, the power of empathy and the realization that we are not alone in this journey allow us to transcend our present challenges.

This first part of our conversation delves into the theme of adversity—how to confront it or, conversely, avoid succumbing to it. It emphasizes finding the internal strength needed to resist a victim mentality– with the intention that this will set the stage for the second part next week, where our guest delves more into the realm of self-empowerment and the conscious choice to embrace positivity in life…
