Carolyn Meister is a physical therapist and movement analysis expert.  In this episode, she talks about the challenges and dark-side of perfection, tools for managing identities, having strategy as a core attribute, and we discuss the next evolution of physical therapy.  Carolyn also threads the struggles of an eating disorder through her story, with grace and vulnerability.

Carolyn Meister is the owner of Sports Movement Physio and Performance.  She graduated in 2016 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St Louis, which is known for the emphasis of assessment and treatment of movement impairments. After graduating, she worked in outpatient clinics and became certified in Astym. Carolyn has worked at a number of settings but her passion has always been movement in function and sports.  She specializes in video analysis of running gait, overhead athletes and jumping/cutting. 

Throughout her career as a PT and professional athlete, she has had a unique opportunity to understand many aspects of returning to activities and sports. Carolyn prides herself on working with patients to instill in them the confidence and knowledge about the function of their body in order to return safely to activities/sport and increase the longevity of their wellness.
