About Divine Organics
Divine Organics is a health and wellness organic food brand headquartered in Marin County, Northern California. It is widely recognized as a leader in sourcing and distributing company-owned, sustainably farm-grown superfoods alongside innovative wellness products. The company’s motto, “LIFE FROM LIFE, ENERGY FROM ENERGY,” reflects its commitment to supporting sustainable, family-owned farms throughout South America, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Ecuador, and Peru.
Founded by David Kaplan with a passion for introducing super-premium, unique organic raw foods to the market, the concept for Divine Organics was inspired by the counsel of a revered saint. This spiritual guide had advised that a near-fatal internal condition had revealed humanity’s impending need for higher-vibration, living foods to achieve a new level of health and consciousness—a necessary step for building a bright, joyful future on Earth while teaching the principles of vegetarianism, meditation, and authentic spiritual practice.
According to the saint’s account, he relocated to Hawaii, where he acquired two properties and established organic, sustainable farms. One of these, named Cosmic Acres, was eventually sold to his neighbor, actor Woody Harrelson, while the other was called Shangri La. On these Maui farms, he provided shelter, clothing, and nourishment to individuals from around the world who sought healing and knowledge in sustainable agriculture, meditation, and healthier lifestyles. Determined to reinvest his earnings, he set out to create spiritually secure, sustainable, and self-sufficient farms capable of weathering future challenges.
Drawing on more than thirty years of experience as a raw food practitioner and consultant, he built a company that imports and distributes a gourmet line of superfoods and raw ingredients. Most ingredients are sourced from small, sustainable family farms in South America, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, where the farmers receive wages above the norm—improving both their quality of life and sense of purpose. The range of products, from salt to nuts, is distributed to chefs, restaurants, stores, spas, doctors, and manufacturers both nationally and internationally.
Divine Organics is the only organic food company to have earned five excellence awards from NaturalNews.com, one of the Internet’s most trusted health news websites founded by Mike Adams, also known as the Health Ranger. Today, operating as a DBA of Transition Nutrition and based in Marin County, California, Divine Organics supplies more than 50 products to premier health food and gourmet stores, as well as to restaurants, chefs, spas, and wholesalers across the nation.

What brings you to the show and tell us a little bit more about the brand. So, the Barron Company is Transition Nutrition. Divine Organics came to me, Of course, these superfoods are definitely from the divine and we we were able to buy the Donain and we’re using it for the finest premium nuts, berries, superfood powders, coconut sugars, algaes, and sea moss from around the world.
How’d you get into the business? Well my dad was in the food business 40 years. I was shot at the young age of 21, almost died. There was all the blood in my body, had a near death experience, and it was raw living foods that brought me back to life. So 20 years ago, I started this company and I already had a good.
Understand them in gourmet taste buds for a lot of the finest, tastiest foods. And I would always search whatever country I went to for their finest nuts, fruits, you name it. You need, you know, super fruits. So it’s just a pleasure to introduce, turn people on to these foods and watch their reactions.
Yeah. Where do people buy these? Like, where can they purchase through the products? Well, they can buy it on Amazon. They can buy it on our website. We’ve been working with Air One for 15 or 18 years. We supply them with a lot of their, Yeah. Commissary is kitchen ingredients, and that’s one of our main businesses, supplying ingredients to juice bars, cafes, restaurants around the country.
What makes these products so unique, or what makes them different? I think they’re all grown organically on small family run farms. So they’re getting, you know. The best soil, the best treatment, absolutely no chemicals, preservatives, or anything. And they come from, you know, their, like, traditional homeland.
Like the mulberries, the white mulberries come from Turkey, the cashews come from my wife’s home country, Indonesia, where they have some of the sweetest, creamiest cashews in the world. Man, you’re making me hungry talking about it right now. You should taste some. Oh, I will. I’m gonna be out. Our macadamia nuts come from our friend’s small farm in Hawaii.
Yeah. And their process Cracked, dried, a very particular way to keep them very raw, being very crisp, and These, they stay from getting rancid for over a year. Wow. Just because they’re processed. And they are the creamiest, sweetest mac nuts. I think anyone’s ever had. That’s awesome. Tell me a little bit about your vision for the company going forward.
Like what’s the vision for the future? The vision is to incorporate divine organics with a holistic health and healing retreat center up in Ishlin, Oregon. We purchased the land 10 years ago, and now we’re getting ready to bring on partners and to open up. the ranch and develop it more so people could come stay a week or two and they could be fed the best organic food, mushrooms, you know, whatever they want indulgent to help them.
You know, heal their bodies, rest. So now we have a travel experience, and it seems to me like this whole ecosystem or community being built around the brand. Am I off on that, or? Yeah, yeah. Well, the brand should be a component for sure. Yeah. Yeah. Last thing I want you to do, David, look into the camera, tell people how they can follow up, how they can learn more about the products.
