After teaching himself open source web application technology, Jay founded K12nation at the age of 24, the first Web Based Student Information and Communication Platform designed to enable parent, teacher, and student communication, information sharing and performance tracking. His success at K12nation brought him to Laguna Beach California to become VP of Global Operations and Business Development at Futurekids.
He was quickly promoted to president where his responsibilities included global business strategy, product development strategy, product road maps, quality control, vendor management, online and offline content development, and relationships management through global operations around the world.
As a founding board member of 21st Century Skills, Jay help helped develop the framework of technology infusion into today’s classrooms and learning process. He established strategic global partnerships with industry leaders including Microsoft, Intel and Dell.
In 2004 Jay founded Seamless Media which organically generated $2 million dollar its first year of operation. In 2005 Jay left Futurekids to focus full time on enhancing the potential of Seamless Media. Over 6 years as CEO of Seamless Media, Seamless Media from a couch and a mobile phone to a $20 million a year customer engagement and telecommunication solutions provider with over 200 employees servicing fortune 500 clients.
In 2009 Jay put his focus on the renewable energy market. Over 10 years, Jay has provided a range of services to leading solar brands across the renewable space such as SolarCity, NRG, SunRun, United Wind.
