Lisa Wisniewski is an experienced Assistant Professor of Sociology with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in Communication, Multicultural Education, Student Development, Student Leadership, and Writing. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Education (EdD) focused in Educational Leadership E.d.D from University of Hartford. Specialization in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a teaching pedagogy.
Her research has focused on immigrant students, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and effective teaching practices focused on Universal Design for Learning. She has presented regionally (New England area), nationally, and internationally. She has also consulted on effective teaching practices (pedagogy, curriculum design, course design) at the higher education level. Upcoming research presentations and publications are focused on women in leadership, particularly in higher education.
As founder of Belle’s Notebook, a career blog, Lisa Wisniewski has a strong focus on developing written materials focused on soft skills (effective communication, emotional intelligence, career change) as well as leadership. In addition, there is a strong focus on partnerships with local community organizations and businesses.
