This week, our guest is Aleric Heck. He joins me on the mic to talk about his entrepreneurial journey, which actually started from childhood. He began with small ventures like paper routes and selling popcorn as a Boy Scout, which is how he learned valuable lessons about business and sales.
This early interest led him to create videos with friends, eventually posting on platforms like Newgrounds, and later, YouTube. He taught himself video editing and began uploading content around 2007-2008, focusing on tech tutorials and app reviews. By 2009, he launched a YouTube channel called AppFind, reviewing mobile apps and gaining significant traction, generating about $60,000 annually.
Despite receiving a job offer from a Silicon Valley company, Aleric chose to stay in school and grow his own business, Ad Outreach, established in 2016. He focused on YouTube ads for businesses, gradually shifting from app installs to broader business applications.
