About Roy White
Mr. Roy White, an United States Air Force Veteran with 20 years of proven professional experience in senior information technology positions and ten years plus in C-level roles in Government, State, and Local Contracting. His superior leadership skills, collaborative work ethic, and keen attention to detail have provided an immediate impact on any organization or position Roy has held.
He was elected as majority stockholder and CEO by the Board of Directors of Diverse Concepts (2011) and the recent merger (2020) with Independent Software where he previously served as President. Before his successes as an owner, Mr. White served as Senior Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, Senior Network Analyst for Lockheed Martin, Senior Network Engineer, and Solution Architect/ SME System Engineer for Diverse Concepts while in the President and CEO role. Currently serving as a Chief Technology Officer.
Mr. Roy White is a respected voice in the Information Technology Industry. Mr. White is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the National Small Business Association, where he served on several councils, advocating and representing small businesses with Local County, State (MD), Federal lawmakers. In 2015, was nominated for the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association was nominated and awarded Top 40 under 40 in 2017, which brought global recognition for his accomplishments.
Mr. White has spearheaded Diverse Concept several company awards; Baltimore’s Smart CEO Magazine’s Fast 50 Emerging Business (2017), consecutive years of the Baltimore Business Journal’s Top 50 Minority-Owned, Largest Veteran Owned and Largest Minority-Owned businesses throughout the region from 2014 – 2017. As well as Top 500 Emerging Businesses in America (2013), Top 100 Diversity Owned Businesses in Maryland (2013/2015), Federal Computer Weekly’s Fast 50 Growing Company, and top honors by Thumbtack.com for professional IT services in the Baltimore Region. He served on the board of the Greater Maryland Better Business Bureau and is Vice President of the board for Mentoring Mentors Inc.
