In this episode of The Optimized Mind, Kate talks with Kaneshi Hart. The discussion focuses on Kaneshi’s journey from the corporate world to becoming a successful podcast host and speaker. Central take-aways include the importance of building robust systems, the power of authenticity in achieving success, and practical strategies to overcome fear and enhance resilience. Kaneshi emphasizes the significance of client retention, having a solid client onboarding process, and the value of continual personal and professional development. Additionally, she shares her insights on maintaining optimism and gratitude as foundational principles for a resilient lifestyle.
Playing collegiate Division I basketball at the University of Memphis on full athletic and partial academic scholarships, Kaneshi had many advantages as she stepped into the world of working. Her success on the court followed her into the corporate world where she quickly moved into high levels of leadership within the companies where she worked, managing hundreds of employees and responsible for millions of dollars in revenue. But setbacks sabotaged that success.
In the span of a few short years later in Kaneshi’s career, she was laid off three times while dealing with a toxic personal relationship and a toxic leader at her job. These life ambushes shattered Kaneshi’s confidence and left her feeling fearful about whether life would ever get back on track.
Today, by the grace of God, Kaneshi is a business owner, the founder and host of Build a Better Business Podcast, a speaker, and educator. She’s known the fears that can be debilitating when facing different life situations and she feels called to teach others how to forge through those fears, as she has, to create the future they want to see.
