About Venis Wilder
Venis T. Wilder MD (aka V.Tiarrá) seamlessly combines the world of arts and science as a lyrically gifted singer/songwriter and a family physician. She is a modern-day holistic healer. As an R&B fusion artist, V.Tiarrá breathes life into lyrics, using rhythmic beats to communicate power, curiosity, and encouragement. Her first single and music video “Batter Up” generated significant buzz in 2020, even being featured at the Miami-Dade Democatic Party Convention encouraging people to vote and feel empowered to make a difference in the democratic process. Her newest single, Digital Love, encourages us to stay truly connected in this technologically driven world, where it’s easier to talk to Siri in isolation than to each other. V.Tiarrá is serious about her craft – vocally training, creating high quality videos and recordings, and being featured in multiple blogs.
As a family doctor, Dr. Wilder supports the journey of people to better health and wellness. As a University Scholar at Duke University, she graduated cum laude with a double-major in Biological Anthropology & Anatomy and Women’s Studies. She received top notch training from Harvard Medical School, receiving the Harvard Presidential Scholars Award for leadership and community service; and then completed her family medicine training at Columbia University/New York-Presybterian Hospital in New York City, serving as Chief Resident. In 2017, Dr. Wilder was selected as Grand Marshal of the National African-American Day Parade. She currently works as a Medical Director at a large primary care organization in South Florida, seeing patients and leading multiple medical teams.
Outside of music and medicine, Venis continues to promote healing in business. Her spice company, Aunt Alberta’s Spice House, uses organic doctor-formulated spice blends to improve and prevent chronic health conditions. Her fashion brand, WeChic by V.Tiarrá, celebrates the diversity of black women and girls with natural hair.
A modern day Renaissance woman, V.Tiarrá/Dr. Wilder/Venis, challenges us all to live in authenticity, excellence, and without boundaries.
