Nikki Porcher is an American Business Awards® Thought Leader of The Year, founder of award-winning nonprofit organization Buy From A Black Woman and host of highly-rated podcast A Black Woman’s Podcast. She’s made it her mission to empower, educate and inspire Black Women Business Owners; and to raise awareness for the need to support and #BuyFromABlackWoman.
Through her nonprofit, Nikki equips Black Women with the tools and resources they need to be successful in business. She’s helped Black Women Founders generate over $2.7 million in revenue in the last year alone, in addition to providing educational programs, funding and increased visibility through the highest-ranking online directory of Black Women-Owned Businesses in the world. The directory places these brands in front of an average of 4,000 consumers a month, and Buy From A Black Woman is also home to one of the largest communities of Black Women Business Owners in the US and across the globe.
Nikki is also a sought-after Business Consultant, DEI Trainer and Speaker. She’s been invited to speak at events such as Hope Global Forum, SXSW and Black Enterprise’s Women of Power Summit, and she’s led a series of panels for The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans.
As a decorated war veteran and former public school teacher, Nikki is no stranger to serving at the highest level. She now uses the skills she gained navigating those challenging environments to create a more equitable world for Black Women. Her list of accomplishments include securing partnerships with major organizations like H&M, the IRS and Goldman Sachs, helping 600+ founders boost their online visibility, and leading the way as one of the first platforms dedicated to Black Woman-Owned Businesses. However, her ability to keep going and inspire others in the process matters more to her.
