There is so much to be thankful for on this joyous occasion! Making choices to elevate life requires discipline, mentorship and community. Falling into trouble can lead to a path of glory when discovering your abilities and skills. Have a helping of great recipes, laughs, food and enjoy the atmosphere with this breathtaking Chef!

Chef Todd Whitman, born in 1980 on the west side of Cleveland, overcame a challenging childhood marked by inconsistent parental support and a year in juvenile detention at the age of 12. Despite facing struggles with drugs and alcohol during his teenage years, he decided to confront his addiction at 35, seeking help and entering the CATS Treatment program. His life took a positive turn when he joined the Edwin’s Culinary Training program in 2016, graduating six months later.

Following his recovery, Todd worked as a line cook at Parker’s downtown under Chef Andrew Gorski, where he honed his culinary skills for two and a half years. In 2018, he joined the team at Sérénité Restaurant, working with Chef Gilbert and combining his passion for cooking with a dedication to helping those in recovery from addiction. Since then, Chef Todd has played a significant role in establishing 12-step programs in the community and supporting inmates at Mansfield Correctional Institution in their recovery.

In May 2020, he achieved his dream of becoming an Executive Chef at Sérénité Restaurant. Beyond his culinary expertise, Chef Todd is committed to sharing his story to inspire others in recovery and has become a speaker at various events.
