About Irewole Akande
As an Engineer and Entrepreneur, He is committed to building products to revamp key sectors in society such as education, wellness/healthcare, and social equity. While technology has been pivotal to the development of society, it is not the equalizing force that it has the potential to be. He believes more needs to be accomplished in using connected devices, analytics and artificial intelligence to create solutions that are unique, ethical, and inclusive.
As an African, He has a dream of building a diverse community of cross-functional experts that spearhead initiatives to identify, mentor, and invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs – specifically supporting youths who are building novel products to tackle societal problems in his home country of Nigeria and on the African continent. He hopes to invest in ideas and products made for Africans by Africans, to usher in a new generation of tech focused businesses that will in turn elevate the socioeconomic status of our communities.

Currently, students miss 164 million days of school annually due to illness, costing schools $6.5 billion in lost funding. Based out of Northwestern University, we intimately know the effects of poor student health on academic achievement.
