Planning for the future. It’s a necessary part of growing up. Some might say it’s a necessary evil and would rather just live by the seat on your pants.

But there is a distinct difference in living life by default and living life by design.

My guest has enough knowledge for a 4-hour episode. But we’re going to keep it to the normal length and pick his brain for as much information as we can.

As you listen, be thinking about how you can make a few adjustments in your planning for your own future.

My guest, Brandon Blackford, has served as an Edward Jones financial advisor since 2011. He believes it’s important to invest his time to understand what you’re working toward before you invest your money. He also believes that it’s important to understand the level of risk you’re comfortable accepting when investing so we can balance it with the steps necessary to reach your long-term goals.

Brandon attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in financial management and marketing. Since joining Edward Jones, he has earned the CFP®, CIMA®, CLU®, AAMS® and CRPC® professional designations.
