Show Notes:

Combining business with philanthropy is always a great combination. $3 of every TaTa Top sold goes to a non profit. In this episode, Adam Torres and Linze Rice, CEO of The TaTa Top, talk about the expansion of the brand and future plans.

About The TaTa Top

We are a Chicago-based team on a mission.

The TaTa Top was founded in 2014 after visitors from abroad were spending a beautiful sunny day at a Chicago beach—wondering why the sunbathing women couldn’t be topless if they wanted to.

It was a great question, and made us realize the double standards U.S. nudity laws create. The TaTa Top was the perfect way to stir things up while getting people to ask important questions about equality and body positivity.

In 2018, The TaTa Top was bought by Linze Rice, a journalist and writer who had reported on the company’s original founders. Under her leadership, the TaTa Top remains a queer, woman-owned, Chicago business that strives to embody the same ideals and support the same causes as its founders: using humor to shed light on — and raise funds for — breast cancer awareness and women’s rights; promoting body positivity; challenging sexist laws and social norms; and empowering people to have control over their own bodies.

It’s great to create a product that makes people laugh, but it’s even better to be able to do something very serious with that success.

For each TaTa Top sold, $3 goes directly towards supporting one of our partnered organizations. Since launching we’ve donated OVER $40,000 to our partner orgs.

Never in the history of the world have nipples on a bikini top had the potential to make such a statement and have such an impact. We look forward to watching our little business grow and seeing how much we can raise for our charity organizations!
