Hey, I’d like to welcome you to another episode of Mission Matters. My name is Adam Torres and today I’m at Grant Cardone’s headquarters in Florida. I just got done watching a pitch competition, having all kinds of fun. And I got one of the contestants and winners on the show Trinity. So first off Trinity, welcome to the show.
Thank you so much for having me. How do you feel? Talk to me. I feel. Definitely great. Still kind of in shock from everything. This was definitely a new experience for me. It was very inspiring, but also like invigorating in a way. Again, something like very different for me. I was not expecting to win.
And the report that I see, like, received, like, during my, like, during my presentation and even afterwards was, like, amazing. The feedback was good. I was able to, like, really sit in it and take it back and be like, Oh, here’s what I can improve, even like with my pitch. So going forward that I can like, if I present again or when I present again, this will be something that I can take forward and actually have like good advice to look back on.
Yeah. Yeah. And you were a winner. How much cash you got in that pocket now? 6, 000. Man, lunch on you. What? No, wait, that’s not a business expense. Sorry, Grant. No, we’re not. Okay. So, what do you, like, talk a little bit about your platform and your vision that you want to create. Talk about that. So, with my platform, it’s an all inclusive platform for marginalized individuals to really kickstart their careers into esports.
I want to provide them with definitely unique opportunities, but also the resources, because I know that it can be a very expensive endeavor. So I want to provide them with that, because a lot of people, you know, Like, they don’t get into it because they’re like, Oh, this is such an expensive, like, gaming is an expensive hobby.
It is, yeah. It’s a very expensive hobby. And especially when you want to get into this professionally. Hmm. Oh, no. So, I want to just offer it. I want to be able to give that opportunity to someone who really wants to pursue that. Like, I just want to be able to be that rock for them. Hmm. And you’ve been gaming for how long now?
You are, you’ve been gaming, yes? Yeah, I’ve been gaming recreationally for about 16 years, but professionally, three. Wow, and what’s that like? Talk about the opportunity and what, like, draws you to that field. It’s more like, I just, I love video games. Like, I’ve been doing it for so long. I absolutely just love playing games.
And, like, getting into it professionally, like, All of my mentors, you know, like my teachers, my parents, everyone like that. They’re just like whenever you like, if you want to pursue a career, make sure you pursue something that you’re going to love. Yeah. Because you don’t want to be stuck in something that you’re going to hate because it’s going to end up making you miserable.
Yeah. And it’s just like one thing I don’t like being is miserable. So I wanted to pursue something that I knew that not only am I good at, but something that I genuinely would enjoy. And so to be able to start this business, have this opportunity to start my business up And Like do what I love while also providing resources so that other people can also do what they love is a wonderful feeling Absolutely amazing feeling.
Yeah What would what kind of advice would you give to other young entrepreneurs that have an idea that they want to get off the ground? Like what kind of advice would you give them come here? Come here Do that like if you have an idea No matter whether you think it’s good or bad. It’s like it’s not about that.
It’s about Having that drive, that, that passion that you have for that, go for it. Like absolutely go and take that and run with it. Because if you sit on that idea, if you sit on, so either someone else is going to do it or you’re going to like later, like down the line, you’re going to be like, Oh, why didn’t I do that, man?
This would have been so amazing for me to do. So like, You don’t want to end up regretting it later down the line. Like you just like take, even if you feel like it’s a risky move, take that risk. Yeah. Absolutely take that risk. Go do that. Go do, go do what you need to do to get that idea off of the ground so that you can make that happen for you so you don’t regret it later down the line.
Man, you got me all pumped up here. I’m gonna go start something. I’m gonna pitch. How old do you have to be to pitch? No, I might be, I might have aged out on that one, but speaking of, we’re gonna go past that one. Thank you. Speaking of coming here, what was it like working with the Grant Cardone Foundation?
Working with you guys, new experience being able to like, just, okay, just in general this was like a very amazing experience. Yeah. Not only being able to be in the space, like, with all these very influential people, but being able to go, like, and see what you guys are doing, like, being able to take a tour of the place, and, like, see how you guys, like, interact with the work, like, your workspaces are amazing, such a beautiful and positive outlook on things.
You guys have such, like, this very, like, energetic vibe that just makes you want to be a part of it. So I was just, like Like you guys were like doing like your chants and stuff. You guys have music playing and I was just like, man, I want to be a part of that. They got a whole like, tribe, the whole atmosphere, right?
I’m just like, wow, I want to do that. Like that’s amazing. All right. So Trinity, last thing I want you to do, I want you to look at the camera, tell people how they can follow you, how they can stay connected, social media or otherwise. So you guys can follow me on my business Instagram. That’s links.
