About Anand Rao
Anand has been an advisor to consumer brands, B2B companies, and private equity partners, and has proven invaluable to senior executives’ intent on both sharpening go-to-market strategies and successfully executing technology plays.
His marketing and digital business building career spans over 20 years, working across sectors ranging from consumer retail, healthcare, and financial services, for prestigious companies such as McKinsey, Apple and IBM. His expertise is now being put into practice within automotive retail as Senior Vice President, Marketing and eCommerce at AutoNation – America’s largest and most recognized automotive retailer. Anand has also served as a board member for Vroom – the hottest IPO in 2020.
Anand’s digital marketing expertise covers simultaneous brand building and demand generation via social media, driving traffic via SEM and website conversion to a sale through exceptional digital experience, as well as leveraging programmatic buying opportunities via emerging channels such as connected TV.
The technologist in Anand values the power of Customer Data Platform (CDP), Cloud Data Systems, and open source machine learning platforms for enabling real-time segmentation, audience identification, and hyper personalization.
