Dr. Michael Reid

Dr. Michael Reid is a neuroscientist and investor, and General Partner at Deep Future, a venture firm implementing science fiction across biotech and frontier technology. A domain expert in biotech and the biological and chemical sciences, Michael made early discoveries in how information is encoded in the brain while doing research in the US, Germany, and Switzerland before joining the Consortium for the Advanced Study in Brain Injury at Cornell University. With a decade investing in biotech and technology, he has built a global network of investors, managers, and commercial partners supporting Deep Future's four dozen company portfolio across neurotech, advanced physics, materials science, biotech, including companies such as Graviton Biosciences, RISCO, Deep Fission, DESCycle, and growing. Michael splits his time between New York and Lausanne, where Deep Future is opening its European office. His work bets on the technologies that are tackling the biggest problems facing humanity.
